He is also a holder of the Chartered Institute of Marketing  Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing.

From 1990 until its recent sale, Greg Hoar established & managed Display Containers Ltd a Dorset based supplier of promotional information display, interpretation & exhibition equipment to a mixed national client base of heritage & other commercial businesses, government funded organisations including English Heritage, municipal authorities, The National Trust and other national charities.

Simultaneously he was a managing partner in Poole based SOS PUBLICITY, a promotional literature distribution company working for heritage, arts & tourism clients in Dorset & West Hampshire.
